A pioneer of hip-hop, father of mixing and scratching, that’s Grandmaster Flash. The man who turned the record deck into a real musical instrument. He was the first DJ to release a rap record and in „Adventures on the Wheels of Steel,“ he created a template that let the world discover secrets of the New York ghettos. With his skills, he turned hip-hop from a boroughs novelty into a worldwide phenomenon. With a career of forty years, he’s still relevant and active. Let’s just mention the Netflix original series The Get Down from 2016 that features a version of Flash. In a nutshell, a legend is returning to ROXY on the 10th of September and it’s going to be a party not to be missed. Flash is fast! Flash is cool! Flash is back!
