Originally a solo project of singer Elena Tonra was a success right after their debut album If You Leave released in 2013. It reached #4 in the UK Indie Album Chart, not only for the emotional melodies and Elena's unique vocals. This January, they released second record Not to Disappear and were compared to Massive Attack, PJ Harvey or The Cure. Both albums were released on the prestigious label 4AD, same as for the legendary Pixies or Bon Iver. “Expressing your emotions isn’t a weakness but a real strength,” says Tonra. “I think with this new album, there’s less hiding. I used to hide a lot of my themes in poetry. But now, there’s no veil."
