Fans of post-punk music are in for a treat! Legendary tracks by Joy Division and New Order will be brought back to life by Peter Hook and his band, The Light. Peter Hook used to be a bass guitarist in both of these bands. After the breakup of Joy Division, which was caused by the tragic death of its singer Ian Curtis, Hook and his bandmates formed from today’s point of view another very important band called New Order.
For the past thirteen years, Peter Hook has been performing with his band The Light the most interesting and influential work of both of his previous bands. This year Joy Division’s compilation Substance celebrates its 35th anniversary and Hook decided to bring it back, as well as a compilation of the same name produced by New Order. So fans can enjoy both compilations at full length during this concert. This will be a night to remember for all post-punk fans; don’t miss it!
