Carbon Based Lifeforms: Founded by Swedish musicians Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Vadestrid, CBL has been a pioneering force in ambient music since 1996. After early releases, they partnered with the iconic label Ultimae in 2002, producing influential albums like Hydroponic Garden (2003), World of Sleepers (2006), Interloper (2009), and Twentythree (2012). Going independent in 2014, they released Derelicts (2018) to critical acclaim. Their latest album, Seeker (2023), continues to deliver their signature atmospheric sound, inviting listeners into CBL's world of immersive electronic landscapes.
