The evolution of deathcore as performed by Whitechapel is coming to Prague! The Knoxville titans will showcase their absorbing power at Roxy on February 16. They will be supported by British thrash/death metal band Sylosis, OSDM butchers 200 Stab Wounds, and Texas juggernaut Tribal Gaze. Fall into the mosh pit until the bloody end!
While Whitechapel weren't afraid to experiment with clean vocals and emotional lyrics on their albums "The Valley" and "Kin," their current album "Hymns In Dissonance" marks a relentless return to pure sonic terror. The Tennessee sextet bids farewell to melodic relief, and Phil Bozeman once again relies exclusively on his patented, devastating guttural vocals. The triple guitar wall on the new album crushes bones with the same intensity as in the era of the cult classic "This Is Exile," but with the technical maturity of a band that no longer needs to prove anything to anyone. A raw offensive with a clear goal is thus coming to Prague.

The main support for the evening goes to the British band Sylosis, led with a firm hand by guitar virtuoso and frontman Josh Middleton. For over a decade, the band has been a pillar of the modern concept of thrash and melodic death metal. Their music is the essence of technical precision, sharp riffs, and machine-gun tempos, as clearly demonstrated by their latest work on the album "A Sign of Things to Come." Middleton's perfectionism makes them one of the tightest live bands around today.
