Fresh from his completely sold out European tour, Yungblud has announced new dates for this Autumn including London’s O2 Academy Brixton! The newly announced dates will see him perform across Europe in Germany, Italy, France and more before hitting the UK in November at venues across the country – tickets on sale Wednesday 6th February at 9am. Last year, Yungblud wowed crowds worldwide on tour and at festivals including Reading & Leeds, Austin City Limits, Rock Am Ring and the final Vans Warped Tour. The 21-year-old has become known for his high energy and passionate performances that leave crowds wanting more. Next month, Yungblud will also perform sold out venues all over the UK and has been announced to perform on the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festival this summer.
Yungblud has had an incredible start to the year with the release of his latest single ‘Loner’, which premiered on Radio 1’s Indie Show with Jack Saunders. The track was described as ‘one of his biggest anthems to date’ by NME and received praise from the likes of Clash Magazine, the BBC, MTV and Upset Magazine. The accompanying video for the track has been viewed over 1.5 million views on YouTube. Watch here. The video was directed by Yungblud and Unthank Alliance and was filmed in locations around the musician’s hometown of Doncaster including the venue where he played his first shows at and his Nan’s house!
Last year saw Yungblud release his debut album '21st Century Liability’ and with over 90million streams to date, 2019 is looking to be an even bigger year for Rock Sound magazine's latest cover star.
Yungblud partly credits his razor-sharp lyricism to his lifelong love of literary-minded songwriters like Bruce Springsteen and Chris Difford from Squeeze. A multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, bass, piano, and drums, he first picked up a guitar at age two and began writing his own songs at age 10. At an early age, Yungblud moved to London to kick-start his career and refine his musical vision, a process aided by his rediscovery of firebrand artists like The Clash, Arctic Monkeys, and N.W.A.
