The ROXY Club, in collaboration with the NoD Gallery, is preparing a brand-new site-specific installation of artworks, ROXY Visuals vol. 19, which builds on a tradition spanning more than a decade of showcasing contemporary Czech art against the backdrop of the legendary music club.

The latest edition of artworks, subtitled Contemporary Art at Night, has been created for specific locations within the ROXY club by a curated collective of prominent Czech artists: their interventions will be presented in the collaborative project ‘Epos 257 & Jan Lesák feat. Mirek Čáslavka, alongside solo works by Jakub Tomáš, Slavomíra Ondrušová, Tomáš Roubal, and legends of the Czech art scene such as Vladimír Skrepl and Vladimír 518. For many years, Umělectvo have been stalwarts of the Czech and international art scene; they also share close artistic and personal ties with the artist duo David Böhm and Jiří Franta, who are currently exhibiting at the partner venue, Galerie NoD. The curatorial concept for the installation and the collection of artworks was devised by Galerie NoD curator Pavel Kubesa.

This latest edition of ROXY Visuals seeks to continue redefining the relationship between contemporary art and the specific atmosphere of a nightclub. The individual artistic interventions present a wide variety of aesthetic and formal approaches that viewers may encounter in contemporary art. The aim of the ROXY Visuals – Contemporary Art at Night exhibition concept is to open up contemporary art and its themes to new contexts, situations and new audiences, and to present it through site-specific installations created specifically for the given space.

The opening of the latest edition of ROXY Visuals vol. 19 will take place at the ROXY club in ROOM 8 on Thursday 5 November 2025 from 8.00 pm. The opening will be preceded by a visual performance by the artist duo David Böhm and Jiří Franta and a concert by the hardcore band SCOOP within the space of the ongoing exhibition David Böhm & Jiří Franta: It’s Almost Like Something That’s Already Been at the NoD Gallery (1st floor above the ROXY club, Dlouhá 33).
