The American band DIIV are returning to Prague! They’ll be coming to the Roxy club to
present their most anticipated album, ZIRP!, and cement their status as alt-pop stars. So get ready—a shoegaze revolution is coming on June 18, 2027!

DIIV formed in 2011 and have since gone through lineup changes, drug binges, and other
escapades. Nevertheless, their discography includes four cult-classic studio albums, to
which a fifth record titled ZIRP! will be added on October 30, 2026.
A major inspiration for recording the album came after the end of Depeche Mode’s 2023
tour, where DIIV served as the opening act. Frontman Zachary Cole Smith decided at the
time that he would “surrender perfectionism, work quickly and not be precious.” The band
also teamed up with producer Alex “AG” Cook, known for his work with the iconic Charli xcx. It was he who helped shape their unique shoegaze mosaic.
DIIV refer to this new era as “The New Alternative”—a new genre for the 21st century. On
the album, they embrace their underground roots and pop melodies with conviction and enthusiasm, blending them into a single hypnotic and dreamlike whole.
